Yellowstone to Return this Year without Superstar

HOLLYWOOD, CA— The second part of season five of Yellowstone has a release date but one star just announced that he will not be back.

Everyone knew that the hit series “Yellowstone” was coming to an end with the conclusion to season five. The only thing fans did not know was when season five part two would release.

Now, we officially know that the ending of Yellowstone will air on November 10, 2024, after over a year hiatus.

That’s the good news for fans. The bad news is that Dutton family patriarch, John Dutton, played by Kevin Costner, has announced today that he is done with the drama series. There were whispers that Costner would be done with the series for a while but in an Instagram video, the man himself made it official.

“I just wanted to reach out and let you know that after this long, year-and-a-half, of working on Horizon, doing all the things that that’s required, and thinking about Yellowstone. That beloved series that I love, and I know you love, I just realized, I’m not going to be able to continue.” Costner said.

There have been rumors for quite some time that Costner was leaving the series. On the other hand, Matthew McConaughey’s name has been thrown around. McConaughey of course, has worked with Rip actor Cole Hauser in the past, way in the past, on Dazed and Confused.

Anyway, the series conclusion to Yellowstone is set to premiere this year on November 10.
