SAN ANGELO, TX— A crash on South Abe Street sent one person to the hospital.
A San Angelo police officer said at the scene that a two-vehicle crash occurred at the intersection of South Abe Street and West Avenue D. A Chevy Avalanche was traveling westbound on Avenue D, while a Toyota Camry was traveling southbound on South Abe.
The driver of the Chevy Avalanche failed to yield the right of way from the stop sign and hit the Toyota, spinning it around. There was one occupant in each vehicle and the driver of the Camry went to the hospital as a precautionary measure.
The driver of the Chevy Avalanche was cited for failure to yield the right of way. The roads were dry and the weather was clear.
