Triple-Digit Temperatures Expected This Week

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – The National Weather Service (NWS) has released a temperature outlook indicating a return to triple-digit temperatures across the San Angelo area this week.

The forecast highlights significant temperature increases for multiple locations in the region.

Abilene is expected to see a high of 102°F by Friday, while Ballinger and Brady will experience temperatures reaching 100°F and 98°F.  

Other areas, including Brownwood, Coleman, Haskell, Junction, and Ozona, will also see temperatures climbing into the high 90s and low 100s.

San Angelo and Sweetwater are projected to experience some of the highest temperatures, with highs forecasted at 104°F by Wednesday and Thursday.

Today's weather in San Angelo will be mostly sunny with a high near 93°F. Expect a south wind blowing around 15 mph, with occasional gusts reaching up to 20 mph.

Tonight, as night falls, the skies will become partly cloudy with temperatures dropping to around 73°F. The south-southeast wind will continue at 10 to 15 mph.

On Monday, prepare for a hot start to the week. Monday will be mostly sunny and very hot, with temperatures soaring to a high near 100°F. Winds will come from the south-southwest at around 15 mph.

Monday night will be mostly clear with a low of around 74°F. Winds will persist from the south at 10 to 15 mph.

Tuesday brings even hotter conditions with sunny skies and a high near 105°F. Southwest winds will blow around 15 mph, with gusts reaching up to 20 mph.

On Tuesday night, expect partly cloudy skies with temperatures settling around 74°F. South winds will continue at 10 to 15 mph.

Wednesday will see mostly sunny and hot conditions with a high near 104°F. Winds will be lighter, coming from the south-southwest at around 10 mph.

Wednesday night, partly cloudy skies will dominate the night, with a low of around 73°F. South southeast winds will be gentle at 5 to 10 mph.

Thursday will remain sunny and hot with a high near 102°F. South winds will be mild, blowing at 5 to 10 mph.

Thursday night will be partly cloudy with a low of around 74°F. Southeast winds will be light at 5 to 10 mph.

The NWS warns that these high temperatures increase the risk of heat-related illnesses, particularly on Tuesday and Wednesday. Residents are advised to stay hydrated, take frequent breaks in air-conditioned areas or shade, and wear lightweight and light-colored clothing.
