Angelo State Baseball Receives No. 8 Seed at College World Series

SAN ANGELO, TX — The stage is set for the Angelo State Rams Baseball team to defend their title as National Champions. On Monday, May 27, Angelo State found out about its seeding for the upcoming NCAA Division II College World Series.

The Championship Finals begin on Saturday, June 1, to Saturday, June 8.

The Rams claimed victory over Lubbock Christian in the NCAA Division II Super Regional last weekend to punch their ticket to the College World Series for the 4th straight year. Next up, Angelo State heads to Cary, NC, as the No. 8 seed in the World Series tournament.

The Rams first opponent will be top-seeded Central Missouri on Saturday, June 1, at 6 p.m. Once again, the Rams received a low seed in a post season tournament. Despite receiving the 6th seed in the regional, the Rams went 5-1 overall. Angelo State has another opportunity to silence any critics who think this squad is not up to the task come Saturday.

The games will be held at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina.
