Sights from the Little Bobcats Football Camp

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — The Central Bobcats Head Football Coach, Mark Smith, held his first annual Little Bobcats Under the Friday Night Lights Football Camp at San Angelo Stadium. 

Kids aged Pre-K to 6th grade gathered in the turf room at the field house before breaking up into 8 different groups to participate in various skill activities and other football-related drills that would help prepare them for one day playing on Friday nights for the Bobcats. Several current members of the ‘Cats football team helped out the coaching staff to give these future Bobcats an experience they will not forget.

Head Coach Smith spoke on the importance of giving these kids an opportunity to experience football under the lights. Watch that interview below:

The Little Bobcats took part in eight different stations that showcased almost every skill needed to play football. The drills consisted of throwing, catching, running routes, carrying the football, tackling, and various weight room activities.

At the end of the night, the ‘Cats’ coaching staff presented the campers with several awards to end a great evening.
