Heat Continues with Highs Over 100 Degrees

 

SAN ANGELO, TX  — A persistent heat wave is forecast to continue this week, with temperatures reaching above 100 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

Today, the weather will be sunny and hot, with a high near 102 degrees. Winds from the south-southwest will be around 10 mph, with gusts up to 20 mph. Tonight will bring partly cloudy skies and a low of around 74 degrees, with similar wind conditions.

On Tuesday, expect mostly sunny and hot conditions, with a high near 100 degrees. Winds will again be from the south-southwest at around 10 mph, with gusts up to 20 mph. Tuesday night will be mostly cloudy with a low around 72 degrees, and south winds at 5 to 10 mph, gusting up to 20 mph.

Wednesday's forecast includes a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m., but it will remain mostly sunny with a high near 96 degrees. South winds will be 5 to 10 mph. Wednesday night will also have a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with partly cloudy skies and a low of around 69 degrees. Southeast winds will be 5 to 10 mph.

Thursday brings another 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 1 p.m. The day will be mostly sunny with a high near 96 degrees. Winds will shift from southeast to southwest at 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon. Thursday night will be partly cloudy with a low around 69 degrees, and south winds at 5 to 10 mph.

Friday is expected to be mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 98 degrees. Southwest winds will be 5 to 10 mph. Friday night will be mostly clear with a low around 70 degrees, and south winds at 5 to 10 mph.

The weekend forecast predicts continued sunny and hot conditions, with a high near 101 degrees on Saturday and a low around 74 degrees Saturday night. Sunday will also be sunny and hot, with a high near 102 degrees.
