SAN ANGELO— A San Angelo woman agreed a plea deal in district court Wednesday for sexually assaulting a minor here in 2021.
Sokha Loth, 44, of San Angelo, agreed to the details of the plea deal this morning on two counts of Sexual Assault of a Child.
According to court documents, on February 21, 2023, the child victim was interviewed, and he stated that on Sunday, October 17, 2021, the defendant, identified as Loth, picked him up in her SUV across the street from his residence around 11:00 p.m.
He further stated that Loth drove to an unknown location several blocks away and parked her vehicle. There, he said Loth sexually assaulted him. Then, Loth told him to get into the backseat and sexually assaulted him again.
After, Loth took the victim back to his residence.
On the same day the minor was interviewed, Snapchat messages between Loth and the boy were reviewed. They were sent on October 17, 2023, and Loth states in the messages, “I’ll pick u up”, “Let’s f*** f*** lmao”, and “I’ll message u when u need to come out.”
On February 22, 2023, Loth was interviewed where she said her relationship with the boy was that of a “son” or “brother”. She also stated that all she remembered was getting drunk and “blacking out” and denied ever sexually assaulting him.
Loth was arrested on March 6, 2023, released that same day and she was indicted in October 2023. In exchange for a guilty plea, Loth agreed to 10 years deferred adjudication and a $1,500 fine.
