SAN ANGELO, TX — The Angelo State University Woodwind Chamber Ensembles program will present its annual spring concert on Thursday, April 18, in the Carr Education-Fine Arts (EFA) Building at 2602 Dena Drive.
Featuring the ASU Clarinet Choir, the concert will begin at 7 p.m. in the Carr EFA Building's Eldon Black Recital Hall and is free and open to the public.
The musical program for the concert will include:
- Excerpts from "Twelve Etudes Concertantes" by Alexis Ciesla
- "Sleep" by Eric Whitacre, arranged by Dr. Timothy Bonenfant
- "Wind In the Reeds" by Gordon Jacob
- "Jeux d'Enfants" by Georges Bizet
- "Ave Maria" by Franz Schubert
- "Romanian Folk Dances" by Bela Bartok
The Clarinet Choir comprises nine ASU music students:
- Jodie Ayala of Childress, clarinet
- Nicholas DeLeon of Killeen, clarinet
- Jaime Herrera of Abilene, clarinet
- Yonghun Lim of Seoul, South Korea, clarinet
- Kelsey La Croix of Seguin, clarinet
- Lauren Ochoa of San Angelo, clarinet
- Gabriela Perry of San Angelo, clarinet
- Mariah Martinez of San Angelo, alto clarinet
- Gavin Martinson of San Angelo, bass clarinet
The Clarinet Choir is directed by Dr. Timothy Bonenfant, professor of music.
