SAN ANGELO, TX— Everyone knows there is always great fishing in West Texas. The Inland Fisheries San Angelo District—Texas Parks and Wildlife recently released the details and process for submitting angler catches to the TPW Angler Recognition Program.
For those who do not know, Inland Fisheries San Angelo District - Texas Parks and Wildlife recently posted a Facebook post detailing the process and included the submission form.
“The fish must be weighed within three days of the catch, and the fish is not required to be alive when weighing,” the post said. “The completed form and pictures must be submitted to verify species.”
The San Angelo Inland Fisheries also included locations with certified scales to weigh fish:
- The San Angelo District Fisheries Office (call ahead)
- Bronte Guns and Tackle
- Fisher Park at Champion Creek Reservoir
- Elm Creek Marina at O.H. Ivie Reservoir
- Concho Park Marina at O.H. Ivie Reservoir
The post also included all the records for the different kinds of fish in San Angelo and the surrounding lakes and reservoirs. Check out the data below:
