SAN ANGELO, TX – O.H. Ivie Lake has once again proven to be a prime spot for catching trophy bass.
Lubbock resident Tery Lewis recently caught a Legacy Class Lunker weighing 13.99 pounds.
This bass, known officially as ShareLunker 669, has become the 19th Legacy Class ShareLunker of the current season and the 12th caught from O.H. Ivie.
Such catches are notable for their size and contribution to a selective breeding program aimed at enhancing the stock of largemouth bass in Texas waters.
Anglers who land a bass weighing 13 pounds or more during the spawning period, which runs from January through March, and who agree to loan their catch to the program earn recognition as members of the Lunker Legacy Class.
This initiative is part of a broader effort to maintain and improve the quality of the bass fishing experience in Texas, ensuring that future generations have the opportunity to enjoy this sport.
