HOUSTON, TX — A suspect involved in the aggravated robbery of lawn workers was arrested after a violent encounter, with law enforcement seeking additional perpetrators.
This happened on March 30, leading to the theft of various pieces of lawn equipment in the 8200 block of Renmark Lane.
Houston Precinct Four Constable Mark Herman's deputies responded to the robbery report, uncovering that the lawn workers were assaulted by a group of suspects who arrived in two vehicles.
The confrontation escalated when the suspects attempted to hit one of the complainants with a vehicle and brandished a firearm. In defense, the victim fought back, managing to strike one of the assailants with a weed eater, causing the suspect to fall and subsequently flee the scene.
The injured suspect, identified as Jerell Alexander, was later found at a local hospital with minor injuries. Alexander has been charged with aggravated robbery and is currently held at the Harris County Jail with a bond set at $50,000, as ordered by the 351st District Court.
