SAN ANGELO, TX — The No. 20 Angelo State Rams Baseball team completed a series sweep of Oklahoma Christian at Foster Field over the weekend. The Rams won 12-11 in Game 1, 3-1, and 5-1 in the doubleheader on Saturday and then closed out the series with a 15-1 run rule win on Sunday afternoon.
The Rams (17-8, 16-8 LSC) are riding a seven-game win streak after a dominant weekend. Other than Game 1, the Rams' dominant pitching coupled with an impressive weekend from Angelo State. Alezeah Gutierrez and Dax Dathe pitched two gems during the Doubleheader on Saturday to give the Rams wins in areas where they have struggled this season.
The 15-1 run-rule win on Sunday saw an offensive barrage in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th innings. Jacob Guerro, Tripp Clark, and Tayten Tredaway brought the highlights with back-to-back-to-back RBI doubles. Later in the 4th inning, three walks and a hit by pitch scored another run for the Rams before three errors by Oklahoma Christian committed three errors to allow the eventual 15-1 score. The Rams collected the nine outs needed after that to complete the run-rule victory.

The Rams return to action this weekend when they travel to San Antonio to take on the St. Mary’s Rattlers in a four-game LSC series beginning on Friday, March 15. The first pitch for Game 1 is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Dickson Stadium.
