Animal Shelter Offering Free Adoptions for At-Risk Dogs

San Angelo, TX - In a bid to save the lives of 14 at-risk dogs, the San Angelo Animal Shelter is offering free adoptions for all canine companions in its care.

The shelter, currently housing 194 dogs, has surpassed its capacity, leaving these 14 dogs facing euthanasia if not adopted, fostered, or transferred to another rescue by 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 2.

To encourage adoptions, the shelter is sweetening the deal by providing adopters with a complimentary bag of dog food, a $25 Petco gift card, a free in-home consultation with Love N' Leashes - Felicia Bruno Dog Training, and one month of free group obedience classes.

Additionally, to ensure timely spaying/neutering services for these dogs, the shelter is seeking donations at cvpaws.org/donate.

Jen, the contact person for interested individuals, can be reached at [email protected]

The shelter must maintain a population of under 180 dogs at all times.

San Angelo residents are encouraged to visit the shelter, 3142 US-67, between noon to 6 p.m.

The available shelter pets can be viewed at 24petconnect.com, and for those ready to adopt or foster, additional information is available at cvpaws.org.
