HOLLYWOOD— A Rocky and Mandalorian star and director has died.
Actor Carl Weathers, who starred as Apollo Creed and Greef Karga in The Mandalorian has passed away at the age of 76. Not only was Weathers an actor, but he also played in the NFL as a linebacker with the Oakland Raiders.
Known for playing roles opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone in “Predator” and the Rocky films respectively. He also starred in Happy Gilmore and Little Nicky with Adam Sandler. Recently, Weathers has been at work in the Star Wars universe in their first live action show, “The Mandalorian”. He served as an actor and a director.
According to his family, Weathers passed peacefully in his sleep on February 1, 2024 also saying, "Carl was an exceptional human being who lived and incredible life."
