Last Organized Crime Ring Fugitive Caught in Bentwood

 

San Angelo, Texas - In a joint operation on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at around 10:13 pm, the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office and the San Angelo Police Department executed a warrant arrest in the 5000 Block of Fairway Drive, capturing the last outstanding suspect from an organized crime ring operating within the Concho Valley.

The apprehended individual, identified as Frankie O'Dell Wright III, was taken into custody following a brief foot pursuit through the surrounding neighborhood. The arrest was made possible through the collaboration of law enforcement agencies and the assistance of citizens who provided crucial information leading to the capture.

Wright, the final target from the organized crime ring, was found to be in possession of a firearm at the time of his arrest. As a result, additional charges of Evading Arrest and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon were filed against him. Moreover, Wright faced pre-existing charges, including Theft of Property exceeding or equal to $30,000 but less than $150,000, and a Parole Violation.

The successful apprehension of Frankie O'Dell Wright III represents a significant milestone in dismantling the criminal activities of the organized crime ring that had been plaguing the Concho Valley. Law enforcement authorities expressed gratitude to the citizens who came forward with information that played a pivotal role in ensuring the capture of the wanted individual.
