Texas Tech Basketball Set for Two-Game Home Stand

LUBBOCK, TX — The Texas Tech men's basketball team is poised to kick off a two-game homestand, beginning with a matchup against Oklahoma State at 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the United Supermarkets Arena. The Red Raiders come on the heels of an impressive 78-67 victory over No. 20 Texas in Austin, marking an explosive start to Big 12 play.

The Red Raiders currently boast a 12-2 record and ride a seven-game winning streak. Texas Tech defends the United Supermarkets Arena well with an 8-0 record on their home court. According to Texas Tech’s men’s basketball communications director Wes Bloomquist, last weekend against the Longhorns, Pop Isaacs showcased his scoring prowess when he led Tech with 21 points in the Red Raider’s victory. Warren Washington and Joe Toussaint also made an impact with 15 points each during the Big 12 opener.

Looking ahead to the upcoming week, Texas Tech will host Kansas State at 3 p.m. on Saturday at the United Supermarkets Arena.

The upcoming matchup against Oklahoma State poses a challenge, with the Cowboys (8-6) displaying resilience despite falling to No. 14 Baylor in overtime during their opener. The Bears never managed to put the Cowboys away during regulation, and it took overtime to finally down the Cowboys. Brandon Garrison led OSU with 20 points, eight rebounds, and four blocks, while Javon Small contributed 17 points and eight rebounds against Baylor.
