No. 11 Angelo State Rams Dominate 2nd Half to Beat Western New Mexico

SAN ANGELO, TX — The No. 11 Angelo State Rams (11-1)(6-0) hosted a Lone Star Conference matchup against the Western New Mexico Mustangs at the Junell Center on Thursday night. After a slow start put the Rams behind the ball in the first half, disciplined defense and a hot hand in the second extended Angelo State’s win streak to ten games in the 77-64 win.

The Rams started the game on a cold streak. Every shot Angelo State took seemed off the mark and the Mustangs built up an 11-point lead with 11:53 remaining in the half. The Rams stayed persistent on defense and scored multiple points off the fast break to climb back into the contest. Four quick points just before halftime tied the game at 33-33 headed into the break.
