SAN ANGELO, TX — The Texas DPS just responded to a major crash between two vehicles on FM 1223 where it crosses underneath US 87 on the southeast side of San Angelo.
We witnessed at least one ambulance in a sea of fire trucks, sheriff’s cars, wreckers, and DPS vehicles. A southbound lanes of FM 1223 are completely closed and traffic is diverted onto the service road of US 87.
The media is being held far away from the crash scene. The crash happened at approximately 12:15 p.m. We just witnessed the ambulance leaving the scene without sirens or lights.
