Girls High School Basketball is Back

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — With the volleyball season in the books, high school girl athletes in San Angelo now set their sights on the Basketball Court. High School Girls Basketball season is here, and most of the teams in San Angelo host their first home games on Tuesday night, November 7.

6A San Angelo Central Lady Cats (1-0)

The Lady Cats had an early start to their 2023-24 season and defeated Lubbock High on November 3, 70-41. Next up, Central hosts Lubbock Cooper in San Angelo on Tuesday evening. The game is scheduled to start at 6 p.m.

4A Lake View Maidens (0-1)

The Maidens also began their season a week ago against the Monahans. After a tough game, Lake View fell 44-34. Up next, the Maidens host their home opener against the Grape Creek Eagles on Friday, November 10, at 4 p.m.

The Lady Hawks begin this season with state ambitions. Ranked No. 10 in the state in the pre-season, this Lady Hawks’ team might be something special in 2023-24. Wall hosts Midland Greenwood on Tuesday night, November 7, in Wall. The game starts at 6:15 p.m.

TLCA San Angelo Lady Eagles (0-1)

The Lady Eagles are hungry for improvement this season after this young program struggled a season ago. The first step on that road is a home game against Reagan County on Tuesday. The game starts at 6:30 p.m.

Grape Creek Lady Eagles (0-1)

The Lady Eagles began their season against Reagan County on November 4. Reagan County emerged victorious after a back-and-forth game down to the wire. The Lady Owls won 30-28. Grape Creek travels to Lake View on Tuesday, November 7, for another tough test against the Maidens.
