SAN ANGELO, TX — The first round of the High School Volleyball playoffs finished on Tuesday, October 31. The Concho Valley had several teams make the playoffs this season, and some came home victorious, while others had their seasons end in defeat.
Here are the updated playoff results and future matchups for schools in the Concho Valley:

San Angelo Central Lady Cats (32-10)(7-3)
The San Angelo Central Lady Cats traveled to Monahans on Monday, October 30, to battle El Paso Franklin in the opening round of the playoffs. After an intense back and forth, the Lady Cats emerged victorious in a five-set match, 3-2 (18-25, 25-22, 26-24, 19-25, 16-14). Central now advance to the Area round, where the Lady Cats will square off with the South Lake Carrol Lady Dragons. This playoff matchup will be on Friday, November 3, in Brownwood. The time for the matchup is still to be determined.

Wall Lady Hawks (31-11)(9-2)
Wall defeated Llano 3-0 (25-15, 25-18, 25-10) on Monday, October 30, in Bangs. The Lady Hawks move on to the Area Round to play Holliday. The game will be in Rotan on Thursday, November 2, at 6 p.m.
TLCA San Angelo Lady Eagles (11-19)(4-6)
TLCA San Angelo fell in its matchup to Blanco 0-3 (17-25, 15-25, 15-25). The ladies fought hard all game but could not secure a playoff victory. Congratulations, Lady Eagles, on a successful season.

Miles Lady Bulldogs (28-9)(8-1)
Miles defeated Coleman 3-0 (25-16, 25-5, 25-17) on Monday. The Lady Bulldogs will face the winner of Tolar and Quanah this weekend. The date and time for the Area Matchup are still to be determined.
Sonora Lady Broncos (30-7)(7-2)
Sonora defeated Bangs 3-0 (25-13, 25-17, 25-11) on Tuesday. The Lady Broncos will play Hamilton in the Area Round matchup. The date and time for the game are still to be determined.
Water Valley Lady Wildcats (22-14)(4-4)
Water Valley fell to Albany in an exciting matchup that saw the two teams play five sets. Water Valley dropped the first two sets before battling back to win the next two. A fifth set was played, and Albany held off the Lady Wildcats 16-14 in the final set to win 3-2 (25-18, 31-29, 19-25, 23-25, 16-14).
Reagan County Lady Owls
Reagan County fell in its playoff matchup to Wink 0-3 (6-25, 11-25, 8-25).
Sterling City Lady Eagles
Sterling City fell in the bi-district round to Fort Hancock 1-3 (19-25, 27-29, 27-25, 20-25).

Bronte Lady Longhorns (25-11)(3-1)
Bronte had a first-round bye this week and will play in its Area Round matchup against Rotan at Trent High School on Saturday, November 4, at 2 p.m.
Veribest Lady Falcons (25-9)(3-1)
Veribest defeated Iraan 3-0 (25-6, 25-4, 25-10) on Tuesday. The Lady Falcons will face TLCA Abilene on Saturday, November 4, at Lake View High School at 3 p.m.
