Angelo State Belles Hannah Kinnison Named LSC Offensive Player of the Week

 

RICHARDSON, TX — Angelo State Rambelles senior outside hitter Hannah Kinnison was named the Lone Star Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday, October 3.

Last week, the Angelo State Rambelles improved to 4-0 in Lone Star Conference play and 14-2 overall on the season after Wednesday’s 4-set win against Texas Woman’s and the sweep of Midwestern State last Saturday.

Kinnsion averaged 4.71 kills per set and had a .391 hit percentage. Against the Pioneers, the senior had 14 kills on a .237 attack percentage before turning in a 19-kill performance against Midwestern State on Saturday. Against the Mustangs, she only committed one error to hit .581. Kinnison also recorded eight blocks and totaled 37.5 points for the week. The senior outside hitter has a .372 hitting percentage and is averaging 3.91 kills per game this season.

Kinnison’s Offensive Player of the Week is the first weekly conference honor she earned so far this season and the second Belles player to win an honor this season. Laney Dale, Angelo State’s setter, won setter of the week two weeks ago.

The Rambelles return to action in San Angelo this weekend when the ladies do battle with No. 5 West Texas A&M on Friday, October 6, at 6 p.m. and against Cameron on Saturday, October 7, at 2 p.m.
