SAN ANGELO, TX — San Angelo high school football fans will get a first look at the 2023 Central Bobcats for the first time this Saturday, August 12, at San Angelo Stadium at 5:30 p.m. Fans will receive a first look at the 2023 Bobcats Football team, cheerleaders, Tex-Anns, the Mighty Bobcat Band, and all other fall sports teams.
Explosive offensive prowess with no hint of defensive dominance defined the San Angelo Central Bobcats’ homecoming night.
Meet the Bobcats is open to the general public and is free of charge. Several food vendors from around San Angelo will be present to offer food, drink, and more. Vendors include Semper Fresh Kettlecorn, Kona Ice, The Pit BBQ, The Valley Coffee Co., Crazy Fruit, Chocolate Drip Bakery, and HTEO. All vendors will be located at Gate 4 at San Angelo Stadium. Fans can also purchase new Bobcat gear for 2023.

After Meet the Bobcats, the Central football team will have its intersquad scrimmage. The Junior Varsity will take the field first, followed by the Varsity. This is an excellent opportunity to see who will be under center for the ‘Cats moving forward, as well as Central’s new defense. Come out and support the Bobcats!
UPDATE: As of 11:30 a.m. August 11, there has been a time change for the start of Meet the Bobcats at San Angelo Stadium on Saturday. Here is the updated schedule:
- 4 p.m. Little Bobcats Club autograph and photograph session in the turf room
- 5 p.m. Junior Varsity Scrimmage
- 6 p.m. Varsity Scrimmage
- 7 p.m. Meet the Bobcats
