SAN ANGELO, TX – The San Angelo Police Department made an arrest Wednesday in the Eric Talton Murder Case from one year ago.
As previously reported, on August 25, 2022, the San Angelo Police Department issued a missing persons notice for 31-year-old Eric Talton. For the original story, see: San Angelo Police Seek Help in Locating Missing Person.
The missing notice was quickly rescinded a short 24 hours after remains were found in Kimble County on August 13, 2022. San Angelo Police did not reveal that information until months later when a press release was sent out on December 6, 2022. After that report came out, the mother of Talton, Ramonna Talton, called San Angelo LIVE! and demanded justice for her son. For this article, see: MOTHER: Murdered Sons Deserve Justice.
Now, nearly a year after his death, the San Angelo Police Department arrested two individuals for the murder of Talton and disposal of his body.
Kenneth Lamar Harvey, 40, of San Angelo, was charged with Murder and Tampering with Physical Evidence, a Human Corpse, with Intent to Impair. Harvey's co-defendant, Brittany Schoonmaker, 27, of San Angelo, was also charged with Tampering with Physical Evidence, a Human Corpse.
