BREAKING: Remains Found in Kimble Co. Are from a Missing San Angelo Man

SAN ANGELO, TX – After months of investigation, the San Angelo Police Department has released an official statement on the missing San Angelo man who's body was found off I-10 in Junction.

As previously reported, on Aug. 25, the San Angelo Police Department issued a missing persons notice for 31-year-old Eric Talton. For the original story see: San Angelo Police Seek Help in Locating Missing Person

The notice was canceled 24 hours later. It has now been revealed that the reason for the short notice was because Talton was found dead outside of Junction in Kimble County.

In a statement from San Angelo Police Department's Public Information Office Richard Espinoza, he confirms that Talton's remains were found on Aug. 18. The first report for Talton going missing was on Aug. 10.

An autopsy for Talton has been issued but as now the full report is not finalized. It was noted that they were able to identify Talton through his dental records and fingerprints.

The investigation is being led by the San Angelo Police Department's CID and the Texas Rangers. As of now no suspects have been listed.
