'Torture P0rn' Horror Franchise Drops Trailer for 10th Film

HOLLYWOOD— The Saw franchise dropped a new trailer for the next film in the horror franchise recently.

Saw 10, titled Saw X, follows John Kramer, known as Jigsaw, and takes place between the very first Saw and Saw II. In Saw X, Kramer travels to Mexico in search of a cure for his cancer. When it turns out to be a scam, Jigsaw takes his revenge.

The official synopsis for Saw X reads:

Hoping for a miraculous cure, John Kramer travels to Mexico for a risky and experimental medical procedure, only to discover the entire operation is a scam to defraud the most vulnerable. Armed with a newfound purpose, the infamous serial killer uses deranged ingenious traps to turn the tables on the con artists.

The Saw films are relatively cheap to make as Saw was made for $1.2 million and grossed $56 million domestically. The franchise as a whole has grossed over $1 billion.

The Saw X case includes:

  • Tobin Bell (Mississippi Burning, Goodfellas) as John Kramer/Jigsaw
  • Shawnee Smith (Armageddon, The Island) as Amanda Young
  • Synnove Macody Lund (Headhunters, The Girl in the Spider’s Web) as Dr. Cecilia Pederson

Also featured are Steven Brand, Michael Beach, Renata Vaca, Paulette Hernandez, Joshua Okamoto, and Octavio Hinojosa.
