Former Texas A&M Player and Coach Dies

 

COLLEGE STATION— A coach on the Texas A&M staff has passed away this past Friday.

Aggie defensive line coach Terry Price has passed away at the age of 55 on June 23, 2023. Price has been a defensive line coach for 28 years and has coached at Texas A&M, Ole Miss, and Auburn. He stayed on the Aggie staff when Kevin Sumlin was fired, and Jimbo Fischer was brought in.

Price helped TAMU lead the SEC in defense in 2020. He also helped recruit and coached former first overall pick Myles Garrett, who is currently one of the best defensive ends in the NFL, and other linemen like DeMarvin Leal and Justin Madubuike at Texas A&M and Quentin Groves at Auburn who ended up a second-round pick in the NFL.

Price played football Texas A&M and earned All-Southwest Conference honors. He was drafted in the 1990 NFL Draft by the Chicago and played for the Bears and the Miami Dolphins.
