SAN ANGELO— A San Angelo man was arrested Sunday after pushing an elderly person down so violently that the fall broke his arm.
According to official documents, a San Angelo police officer was dispatched to the 1600 block of Millspaugh Street on June 11, 2023, for a report of a disturbance. When officers arrived at the residence, they met with Timothy Dimiceli and a witness.
The victim was being treated by medics for a left arm injury and was transported to Shannon Medical Center. Dimiceli allegedly shoved the elderly victim to the ground after an argument with his own wife. The push caused the victim to injure his left arm.
The woman told investigators that Dimiceli had taken her phone and was trying to walk out of the residence. She also said the victim was standing in the kitchen of the residence when Dimiceli pushed him.
Dimiceli was read but waived his Miranda Warnings and gave an interview. Dimiceli said that he and the witness were arguing and he attempted to leave the residence. In the process of leaving, he pushed the victim out of the way and caused the injury to his arm.
At Shannon Medical Center, the victim, who is 84, said that Dimiceli pushed him intentionally which caused him to fall. Photographs of the victim showed the left humerus was fractured and was requiring surgery.
Dimiceli was arrested and booked for injury to an elderly individual causing serious bodily injury and injury to an elderly individual reckless bodily injury. He was booked into the Tom Green County Detention Facility and is currently an inmate on $50,000 bond.
