SAN ANGELO, TX – A Meth dealer named Krystal was sentenced to 13 years in prison in District Court in Tom Green County Monday after pleading guilty to multiple drug charges.
According to court documents, on June 12, 2023, Krystal Marie Martinez, 33, of Lubbock, was sentenced to 13 years in a Texas prison after pleading guilty to possession of a penalty group one controlled substance, between four and 200 grams, with intent to deliver, and possession of a penalty group one controlled substance between one and four grams. Both felony charges were enhanced due to Martinez's prior offenses.
Martinez was indicted for the two offenses in May 2023. At the time, Martinez was also charged with the manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance. As a result of the plea, that charge was lowered to the possession with intent to deliver charge.
The indictment alleges that Martinez was caught with a large amount of meth and a personal amount of heroin on Mar. 10, 2023. Since that day she has been in the Tom Green County Jail with a $50,000 bond. She will now be transferred to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice's Institutional Division to begin her sentence.
