Flash Flood Causes Multiple Road Closures in San Angelo

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – The typical flooding zones in San Angelo have been shut down after tonight's flash flood.

According to the San Angelo Police Department, on June 9, 2023, a flash flood caused multiple road closures throughout the town.

The main closures that drivers should be aware of are at the intersection of FM 2288 and Highland, as well as Knickerbocker and Valley View. Other known areas prone to flooding include the Santa Rita and College Hills areas, as well as any other low-lying spots in the city.

Drivers should always remember to be cautious and turn around if they encounter flooded roads. It is crucial to avoid the risk of drowning.
