SAN ANGELO— An inmate has been indicted after escaping custody from the Tom Green County Detention Facility in March.
Delfino Hill, 36, has been indicted by a Tom Green County grand jury in May for assault of a family member, evading arrest, and escaping from jail.
According to court documents, on March 15, 2023, Hill was arrested by the San Angelo Police Department for two felonies. One being evading arrest, which is classified as a state jail felony, and the second being for going off of bond. He was booked into the Tom Green County Detention Facility in San Angelo.
Then, on March 22, 2023, Hill located an unsecured door at the detention facility which led outside the secure area. Hill exited the jail through the unsecured door and fled the facility. The San Angelo Police Department and the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office received several 911 calls about a male subject wearing an orange jumpsuit running through traffic near Highway 277.
Tom Green County Sheriff’s Deputies responded and located Hill, who got into a truck and barricaded himself inside. Eventually, Hill was taken into custody. A deputy personally identified the escapee as Hill.
Hill was taken back to the Tom Green County Detention Facility and is being held on $535,000 bond for evading arrest, assaulting a family or household member, and escaping white confined.

You managed to break out and then got yourself spotted? There are people living in Mexico, right now, driving 60 miles an hour down the narrow roads of the city laughing big, hearty laughs at Tío Güero from the Other Side as they stuff their faces with carnitas and beer.
They live in modest houses with high fences and modern amenities that also include an attractive woman who compulsively cleans everything. But you got spotted...
Dude, be good or be good at it. Pick one.
