ROSCOE, TX – New information being reported claims the incident Monday morning at Roscoe High School resulted in a 9th grader shooting himself.
As previously reported, on Apr. 24, 2023, Roscoe High School was evacuated following a incident involving a gun and a student. For the original story see: Roscoe High School Closed After Student Incident
New information regarding the incident says that the 9th grade shot himself. He was taken to the hospital in Sweetwater and then was later airlifted to a hospital in Fort Worth.
Texas DPS have confirmed that this was not an attack on the school and that no one else was harmed or in danger.
