Here's Why San Angelo Police Closed Down Houston Harte Thursday

 

SAN ANGELO— The San Angelo Police Department had a section of the Houston Harte Freeway closed down for a short time Thursday afternoon.

Around 2:00 p.m., San Angelo LIVE! received a phone call about San Angelo Police had closed part of Houston Harte as were forcing vehicles off at the Central High School exit.

San Angelo Public Information Officer Richard Espinoza said in an email that the police had received a complaint about a substantial amount of building martial and wood in the roadway on Houston Harte. Officers were diverting traffic while the roadway was being cleared.

Shortly after arriving at Houston Harte, reporters said police had opened the roadway back up.
