Fundraiser Set for Family of San Angelo Girl Who Passed from Huntington's Disease

SAN ANGELO, TX – The family of a 7-year-old girl is asking for the public's help after losing the young girl to Huntington's disease.

Since the age of 4, Khloe Salazar Gloria has been battling a disease only found in 1 and every 100,000 Americans. The child fought the disease, that attacks the brain and breaks down the cells, for three years. She finally won the battle on Apr. 17, 2023 at 7:20 p.m.

The family made a statement on a GoFundMe prior to Khloe's passing. The following is that statement:

Hello my name is Myra Torrez I am Khloe’s Tia. Our beautiful Angel is making her transition to be with our Lord in Heaven. Khloe is 7 years old and was diagnosed at 4 years old with a rare neurological degenerative brain disease. It's called Juvenile Huntington's disease it's a terminal illness. Our Khloe has been battling this horrific illness for the past 3 years. She no longer talks, walks, and is solely dependent on us. She is at a point in her battle where she no longer can fight and is ready to be with our Lord Savior. We were given weeks with her. Unfortunately we are in need of financial assistance for her burial and funeral expenses. Please find it in your hearts to help us lay our Khloe to rest when the time is here. We appreciate any assistance.

Along with the GoFundMe, the family is holding a benefit at the House of Jireh, located at 1414 Chadbourne. The event will include a car show, funnel cakes, axe throwing, and more. All benefits will go towards the family.
