Need $25? City Water Department Will Pay to Look at Your Pipes!

SAN ANGELO – Water line inspections for lead will continue in April and wrap up in late June.

According to the City of San Angelo Water Department, they still need more citizens to volunteer their properties for inspections so they can meet the required 400 properties per the EPA and TCEQ.

Property owners selected for an inspection site will receive a $25 Visa gift card within 60 days of inspection.

To sign up, fill out the property authorization form at cosatx.us/leadprotectionprogram. You will be notified if your property is selected for an inspection.

Questions may be directed to the Water Customer Service Department at 325-657-4323.

*The purpose of these inspections is to protect communities from the risks of lead exposure from drinking water flowing through lead-based pipes. Inspections are now required by the Environmental Protection Agency and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
