"You can't run forever kid!" Across the Spider-Verse Drops New Trailer

HOLLYWOOD— Across the Spider-Verse, a sequel to 2018's Into the Spider-Verse, has dropped a new trailer!

"You have a choice between saving one person and saving every world."- Spider-Man 2099

Across the Spider-Verse is going to be the first part of a two-part story that follows Miles Morales’ Spider-Man across the multiverse. In the 2018 movie, Morales was bitten by a radioactive spider, like Peter Parker in the live-action movies, and found that there were other spider heroes in the multiverse, which was being opened by the film’s big bad, Kingpin.

Across the Spider Verse’s official synopsis reads:

After reuniting with Gwen Stacy, Brooklyn’s full-time friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence. But when the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders and must redefine what it means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most.

Across the Spider-Verse won’t only feature other spider-people going after Morales as The Spot and the Vulture play a part as well.  

The film is also set to feature different animation styles, something that impressed audiences with the first film. Also, Across the Spider-Verse will reference the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Spider-Man and other Avengers like Doctor Strange.

Across the Spider-Verse Part 1 is set to release into theaters on June 2, 2023, with Across the Spider-Verse Part 2 set for March 29, 2024.
