OZONA, TX – Social media lit up early Tuesday morning following an alleged fatal crash in Crockett County.
The Crockett County Fire and EMS were the first to mention that a major crash occurred on Monday night near Ozona. In the vague post it did not specify what had exactly happened. Rather the CCFD mainly asked for prayers for those involved in the crash.
"Please keep Crockett Co Fire and EMS along with law enforcement in your prayers this evening. Working a major accident," stated the Crockett County Fire & EMS Facebook Page."Prayers for the victims and their families as well."
Others on Facebook, mainly people from the small West Texas town, shared more details. Some alleging that an illegal alien smuggling operation had caused the death of two community members.
While most from the town of about 2,700 people went to Facebook others went to Twitter to share their frustrations on the situation. One twitter user, a retired border patrol agent, Robert Hearne had this to say.
No official word yet but Texas DPS did confirm with San Angelo LIVE! that information will be released once the proper notifications have been made. Once that information is received San Angelo LIVE! will relay the message to our audience.
