Famous Friday Night Lights High School Football Star Boobie Miles Arrested

 

ABILENE, TX – Former Permian Panther and star from the popular movie and TV series 'Friday Night Lights' was arrested in Abilene on Thursday after he failed to register as a sex offender.

According to multiple reports, on Jan. 5, 2022, James "Boobie" Miles, 52, of Odessa, was arrested by the Taylor County Sheriff's Office for failure to register as a sex offender and for violating a bond/protective order. 

The famous running back from the Permian Panthers in the late 1980s is no stranger to life behind bars. Miles was released from prison in 2018 after spending five years in prison for beating his stepbrother with a beer bottle.

Then in 2020 Miles was arrested and accused of aggravated sexual assault in Ector County. For this charge he was found guilty which forced him to register annually on the sex offender list. 

Miles was released from the Taylor County Jail after posting a $20,000 bond on the same day. According to the jail log Miles is listed at 6'2" and 410 lbs.
