NASHVILLE— The Tennessee Titans are starting quarterback Josh Dobbs over rookie Malik Willis tonight against the Dallas Cowboys.
Titans regular starter, former Texas A&M quarterback Ryan Tannehill, underwent surgery for a high ankle sprain and Willis, who was drafted in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft, has struggled. Over the last three games, Willis has gone 19-31 for 135 yards and two interceptions.
Dobbs, originally drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers, has appeared in six games total in his career. He has gone 10-17 for 45 yards and one interception. He was signed to the Titans eight days ago off the Detroit practice squad.
Tennessee is set to sit several players including defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons and superstar running back Derrick Henry was listed as doubtful on the injury report. For the Cowboys, speedy running back Tony Pollard will sit this one out due to a thigh injury and has not practiced all week.
The Cowboys and Titans play tonight at 7:15 p.m. and it will stream exclusively on Amazon Prime.
