PHILADELPHIA, PA — Game 3 of the World Series between the Houston Astros and the Philadelphia Phillies was postponed yesterday due to inclement weather in Philadelphia. The game will be played today, Nov 1, at Citizens Bank Park at 7:03 p.m. in Philly.
Because of the cancellation of Game 3 yesterday, the Astros and Phillies will play Game 4 on Wednesday and Game 5 on Thursday. Currently, the series is tied 1-1.
Manager Dusty Baker will start Lance McCullers Jr as pitcher tonight, with Cristian Javier starting Game 4 and Justin Verlander starting Game 5.
The Phillies are taking advantage of the extra day, as Ranger Suarez will get the start. Suarez saw action in the 7th and 8th innings of Game 1.
The Astros’ Jose Altuve looks to remain dominant in the World Series after failing to get a hit for much of the postseason. Altuve has six hits in his last 13 at-bats, with four coming in Game 2. Right Fielder Kyle Tucker, who hit two home runs in Game 1, continues to be the difference for the Astros’ offense.
