Trendy Downtown San Angelo Coffee Shop Calls It Quits

SAN ANGELO – One of San Angelo's downtown coffee shops announcedTuesday that it will be closing and putting the store up for sale.

According to the Grind Brew & Cafe's Facebook Page, on Aug. 23, the owners are looking to either sell the business or they will be selling everything individually. Either way they're out.

"It’s been a fun and wild ride," stated the Facebook post. "As much as we love our coffee shop-it’s time to say goodbye. It’s important to have a good work/life balance and unfortunately at this time, and for quite some time, our beloved coffee shop hasn’t been on our priority list."

The shop's grand opening was on Mar. 7, 2020 and its final day open for business will be on Sep. 16, 2022.

"Thank you again everyone!," continued the post. "We had a blast and we would totally do this again once we are retired"

The Grind Brew & Cafe is located at 220 N. Chadbourne st.

I honestly don't know how any of the coffee and tea shops stay in business. I certainly don't want hot coffee or tea when it's over 100 outside. Personally, two cups of good black coffee in the morning does the trick and I never drink more. I know that iced coffee is a thing now, but the very thought of cold coffee makes me cringe.
