College Hills Utility Construction Closes Cul-de-sac Wednesday

SAN ANGELO – Utility construction on College Hills Blvd. continues progressing north toward Ave. N and will close College Hills Circle to through traffic Wednesday.

According to information from the City of San Angelo, the College Hills-College Hills Circle intersection with College Hills Circle closure is anticipated for Wednesday only.

Where: College Hills Circle east of the intersection of College Hills Boulevard and College Hills Circle

When: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 27

Detours: Traffic will only be closed to through traffic on College Hills Circle.

The ongoing construction may be a headache for commuters who travel College Hills Blvd. on a regular basis, but the utility construction is being done in anticipation of completely rebuilding the roadway over the coming months.

The construction is part of the city's ten year, $80 million major re-construction of the most heavily traveled and most deteriorating roadways in need of complete repair.  North Chadbourne Street from the loop to 43rd St. near the San Angelo Coliseum is the next major street reconstruction project in the plan.
