Republic Services and the City of San Angelo are hosting a series of seven town hall meetings in May and June to inform and educate citizens about the new trash collection services that will begin July 20 and to answer their questions.
The forums will begin at 6 p.m. and will occur in each of the six City Council districts plus in the City Council chambers in the McNease Convention Center. That final forum will be broadcast live on the City’s website at cosatx.us/watch and will be replayed for several weeks on SATV, Suddenlink channel 17.
The forums will be:
- Thursday, May 7, in the Lincoln Middle School cafetorium, 255 E. 50th St.
- Thursday, May 21, in Southland Baptist Church’s multi-purpose building, 4300 Meadow Creek Trail.
- Tuesday, May 26, at Glen Meadows Baptist Church, 6002 Knickerbocker Road.
- Thursday, May 28, in the St. Paul Presbyterian Church gym, 11 N. Park St.
- Tuesday, June 2, in the PaulAnn Baptist Church chapel, 2531 Smith Blvd.
- Thursday, June 11, in the St. Mary’s Catholic Church gym, 7 W. Avenue N.
- Thursday, June 18, in the City Council chambers in the McNease Convention Center, 501 Rio Concho Drive.
During the town hall meetings, officials from Republic Services will provide information on topics such as curbside recycling, frequency of service, new 96-gallon trash carts and their proper placement on service days, quarterly bulk pickup and use of the landfill. Republic and City officials will also respond to customers’ questions and concerns.
