SAN ANGELO – While there is a 50% chance of rain in the forecast for Tuesday afternoon, meteorologists are not certain where or if it will rain at all.
According to information from the National Weather Service office in San Angelo, low level moisture is streaming into the area from the west keeping the cloud cover in place while easterly winds will strengthen throughout the day especially after about 1 p.m.
While a chance for an isolated thunderstorm can't be ruled out, significant rainfall will be spotty at best across West Central Texas.
That cloud cover will keep the afternoon high temperatures in the upper 70s.
The best chances for rain will come this weekend as that weather scenario shapes up.
Most places will remain dry Tuesday but any storms that do develop will have the potential to grow rapidly.
