Hot, Dry Weather Holds Steady Through Next Week

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — West Central Texas is expected to remain under a quiet, dry weather pattern through next week, with temperatures hovering in the mid to upper 90s, according to the National Weather Service in San Angelo.

In San Angelo, highs are forecast to reach 95°F on Saturday, gradually rising to 97°F by Thursday, July 24. Overnight lows will stay steady in the low- to mid-70s. Similar conditions are expected across the Big Country and Concho Valley, with Sweetwater forecast to hit 100°F by Thursday and Friday.

Rain chances will remain minimal, and no storms are currently expected. The extended 6–10 day climate outlook calls for temperatures to trend near or slightly below normal across the I-10 corridor, while areas farther north—including the Big Country—could see above-normal temperatures.

Winds from the south are expected to persist throughout the week, with gusts reaching up to 25 mph at times. Skies will remain mostly sunny to clear each day.

The National Weather Service reminds residents to stay hydrated and limit outdoor activities during peak afternoon heat. Normal highs for the period are typically in the mid-90s.
