Process to Remove Traffic Signal begins April 13

In keeping with the City Council’s decision Tuesday to remove the traffic signal at Main and Koberlin streets, a 90-day process of phasing out its removal begins Monday, April 13.

During the first 60 days, the signal will be set to an all-way red flashing light, with stop signs erected for east-west traffic on Koberlin. Over the final 30 days, the signal heads will be covered, with the stop signs as the only traffic control device.

Following the 90 days, the signal will be removed.
