ARLINGTON – The Dallas Cowboys have hired a new coach who has NFL coaching bloodlines.
The Cowboys have brought in Brian Schottenheimer to help offensive and defensive coordinators Kellen Moore and Dan Quinn. Schottenheimer is taking over the position that Ben McAdoo had last season with the Dallas organization.
Schottenheimer has been around the pro and collegiate level since 1997 mainly as a quarterbacks coach. He also had a few stints at big college programs like USC and Georgia. Last season, Schottenheimer was with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Brian is the son of the late Marty Schottenheimer, who had a 200-126-1 record in the regular season.
