SAN ANGELO, TX – The 2022 Brews, Ewes, and BBQ festival was a huge success on Saturday afternoon as thousands flocked to the river to celebrate the World Championship lamb cookout.
The festival was not only a BBQ competition. It also featured a number of entertainers including Billy Dan Langley One Man Blues Band, Rockin’ Mambo Zombies, Amino and Matt Lopez.
As for the BBQ cookoff, dozens of teams entered to compete in five different competitions; Chicken, Ribs, Brisket, Beans, and Lamb. The following are the results from the competition.

Downtown San Angelo, the organizers of the event, confirmed that there were over 6,000 people in attendance.
"It was an awesome day with great food, entertainment, and community involvement," said the Director of Downtown San Angelo, Del Velasquez. "San Angelo showed up big time to support our efforts!"
This was the 6th annual Brews, Ewes, and BBQ festival.
