San Angelo Central Bobcats 2022 Opponents Released

SAN ANGELO, TX- The San Angelo Central Bobcats opponents for the upcoming 2022 football have been revealed.

In district the Bobcats will play the Midland Legacy, Midland, Odessa, Permian, and the Frenship.

Today, Bobcat head coach Kevin Crane talked with the COVER1 crew and revealed the non-district opponents Central will be competing against.

Kevin Crane said, “As of right now, we’re planning on continuing to play Killeen Shoemaker week 1, El Paso Montwood week 2, Abilene Cooper week 3, Belton week 4, and Abilene Wylie week 5."

So as of right now, Central looks to be squaring off against:

  • Killeen Shoemaker Wolves
  • El Paso Montwood Rams
  • Abilene Cooper Cougars
  • Belton Tigers
  • Abilene Wylie Bulldogs
  • Frenship Tigers
  • Midland Bulldogs
  • Odessa Bronchos
  • Permian Panthers
  • Midland Legacy Rebels

Home and away status on the games have not been released.

What A Brutal Non-District Schedule. A 5A-D1 school (Shoemaker), three 5A-D2 schools (Cooper, Wylie, and Belton), and an El Paso school.  Maybe SAISD should move the attendance line to shift 1,000 students to Lakeview, then Central can play a complete 5A schedule.
