Paint Rock ISD Announces School Closures Amid Covid Surge

 

PAINT ROCK, TX –– Just days after returning from winter break Paint Rock Independent School District announced the temporary school-wide closure of all campuses amid the surge in covid cases.

According to a social media announcement by the school district, the campus will be closed Friday, January 7th, and Monday, January 10th to " disinfect all areas and give others that have been exposed time to test and show symptoms."

In the statement, the district confirmed they have reported " positive cases in many different areas that have exposed most on the campus."

Parents are urged to monitor their children for any signs of s, headache, fever, cough, sore throat, and/or congestion. If students exhibiting those symptoms are sent to school after the cleaning efforts they "will be sent home to be monitored for a couple of days."

No virtual instruction will take place on either Friday or Monday.

"Our first priority is to keep all students and staff in a a safe environment, and we appreciate your help with this matter."
