SAN ANGELO, TX – Go back to Hogwarts with the stars of the Harry Potter franchise as “Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts” premieres on HBOMax on New Year’s Day, January 1st, 2022.
The three biggest stars from the Harry Potter films, Daniel Rafcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson are going to be reunited with the director of the first two films, Chris Columbus as well as other castmates from the franchise for a 20th year anniversary of the release of “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone”.
“Return to Hogwarts” will feature a making of story and include interviews with the cast and in-depth conversations.

Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger actors Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson will be joined by Robbie Coltrane, who portrayed Hagrid in all 8 films as well as Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy), James and Oliver Phelps (Fred and George Weasley), Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley), Mark Williams (Arthur Weasley), Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood), Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom), and Alfred Enoch (Dean Lewis).
Other actors on the reunion show include Ralph Finnes (Tom Riddle/Lord Voldemort), Jason Issac (Lucius Malfoy), Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix Lestrange), Imelda Staunton (Dolores Umbridge), Ian Hart (Professor Quirrell), and Gary Oldman (Sirius Black).
Harry Potter author, J.K. Rowling, is not set to appear in the special.
